Since its Easter weekend, why not give tips on helping your kids enjoy the weekend. As a child, I enjoyed dying eggs and then some bow dying my hands. Childhood during holidays are always very exciting. During Easter, have your kids come together and dye eggs as a family, arrange a Easter egg hunt for your children and friends, or just have a big family gathering and enjoy a good meal together. Family is very important to me and I cherish every moment with them. Here's tips on how to dye eggs, very creative and easy. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nndCP3zsSWA

Lev Vygotsky was born on November 17, 1986 and unfortunately died on June 11, 1934. Vygotsky is known for his zone of proximal development, which is basically what a child can do on their own and what they can still achieve with assistance. There's an outer layer which is known as the task that is too difficult for the child, an inner layer which is too easy for the child, and then there's the middle which is the zone of proximal development which is just right for the child. A technique Vygotsky used is scaffolding, which is simply praising a child or correcting a child in a nicely structured manner.
Here's an example of ZPD http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iaRb01SEWmY

assimilation and accomodation

http://youtu.be/3-A9SgbAK5I
During the past two weeks of school, in ever class seems like we are talking about either assimilation or accommodation. Discussing these two topics were and still are very confusing. Jean Piaget introduced these concepts while studying the psychology of early aged children. Assimilation means to take in new information and incorporate them into our existing ideas. On the other hand Accommodation means to alter ones existing schema as a result of new information.
