I believe there are not any "thugs" in college, but simply people trying to fit in or get an image. College is for us as individuals to find our careers, grown and mature as individuals, but also gain knowledge and self respect for ourselves. High school and college has no comparison to each other, some individuals need to grow up and not waste their lives trying to fit in or gain this "image".

ReplyDeleteIt can be a struggle when you're in college and everyone back home says, "Oh, so you think you're better than us, huh? Fancy college student."
I do agree about categorizing people. College is a period of a person's life in which they will experience new fashions, outlooks, relationships, etc. I do believe that college is the time for an individual to make mistakes and grow to correct them by the end of senior year.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this. In college people are really just trying to find out who they really are. In high school, they had to worry about stereotypes and prejudgments. So when they came to college they just wanted a new beginning, a new start, and a new life. People make mistakes everyday in college and in life period, but as long as they grow from their mistakes then there should not be a problem. College is a life changing experience and people are expected to grow.
